Living History — Through Faces and Memories

On May 2, at the Higher College of IT and New Technologies, an important and moving meeting took place between first-year students and veteran of the Afghan war — Tuspekov Beibit Amangaliyevich. The event was dedicated to the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, a date of great significance for the history of our country.

During the meeting, Beibit Amangaliyevich shared personal memories of his service, daily combat life, camaraderie, and the hardships he endured during the war years. The students listened with interest and attention to a living eyewitness of events, which today are more often read about in textbooks or seen in documentaries.

Such meetings are a unique opportunity to connect with history through a living word. They help foster respect for heroism, courage, and human resilience. To listen and to remember means to preserve this memory and pass it on to the next generations.

We sincerely thank Tuspekov Beibit Amangaliyevich for his open conversation, heartfelt dialogue, and example of true strength of spirit.
