Nauryz at the Higher College of IT and New Technologies: A Celebration of Spring and Traditions

The Higher College of IT and New Technologies hosted a bright and heartfelt celebration of Nauryz, which united students and teachers in honoring spring, kindness, and national heritage.

The festive program began with student performances, featuring songs, dances, and sketches that conveyed the atmosphere of this ancient and beloved holiday. The teachers of the college then continued the celebration, delighting guests with stories about Kazakh traditions and the symbolism of Nauryz.

The central part of the celebration was the arrangement of two improvised auls, each presenting a theatrical performance of a national ritual.

  • The first aul showed the ritual of bata beru – receiving blessings from elders during important life events.
  • The second aul staged the ritual of tusau kesu – one of the most touching traditions in Kazakh culture, symbolizing a child’s first step into independent life.

The holiday concluded with traditional dishes, including the special Nauryz kozhe, as well as fun folk games and friendly gatherings.

This day became a true symbol of respect for traditions, strengthening ties between generations, and a demonstration of how modern youth value and preserve the rich cultural heritage of their people.
